NO! TERRY Pheto is definitely not dead.
And Terry herself has taken to Twitter to make sure her fans know she is alive and well.
“For those who were traumatised by that FAKE Facebook post, I’m still very much alive. Thanks for all the concerned calls and messages,” she posted on Twitter.
She is the latest celebrity to fall prey to “death” rumours.
A false Facebook post which emerged at the weekend left Terry’s fans shocked.
It was posted by a user called Zaituni Mpee. The post had a car that was crashed beyond repair, with the picture of Terry and the status saying: “RIP the most beautiful actress in SA 2015 who died today.
“A full video of the accident is below. Click to watch.”
Terry’s friend and popular fashion designer, Thula Sindi laughed off the account, saying he was with Terry at the time the post was put up.
She is not the first celebrity to be the victim of a fake death. AKA, President Jacob Zuma and Koyo Bala are among the many who have been victims of these hoaxes.
Terry’s followers were relieved when she tweeted that she was alive.
- Tebogomadalane tweeted: “Oh gosh! My aunt was devastated.”
- Nqobile Mkhize: “I just got a shock, thank God you are alive. SA loves you.”
- Nokuphiwa Madikizela: “TerryPheto. Thank you Lord. Glad to hear…”
- Lacheez: “Unbelievable! But thank God it’s fake.”
At the time of going to print, Terry was not available for comment.
Her publicist, Sheila Afari, referred the paper to her Twitter page.
