SA ranked 88 by World Economic Forum


The World Economic Forum has released its latest countries ranking and South Africa is ranked 88 out of 130 countries making the most of its economic potential.

The survey says countries in Sub-Saharan Africa are missing huge opportunities when it comes to making the most of their populations’ economic potential.

The Human Capital Report indicates that worldwide,  an average of 65% of talent is being optimised through education, skills development and deployment.

The Sub-Saharan African region ranks lowest in the report with an average score of 55%.

The report ranks Finland, Norway and Switzerland in the top three spots, while Mauritius came out top in Africa at 76.
