Judge Masipa requests to be excused from sentencing Oscar

Judge Thokozile Masipa is alleged to have requested to be excused from sentencing Oscar Pistorius for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp.

Close sources allege that the Judge came to this decision after having to watch Oscar Pistorius walk across the court room on the stumps of his amputated legs.

“She broke down and cried, feeling very emotional about what she saw as an embarrassing ordeal to prove to the world that he is indeed vulnerable,” claimed the source.

“She now feels that, because she now has an emotional connections to the defendant, it might get in the way of Justice as she does not see herself as being objective.”

These allegations come in the wake of criticism from certain sections of the South Africa that suggested that the general demeanor of Judge Masipa suggested an inclination to be more sympathetic to the submission of Barry Roux over those of Gerhard Nel.

It is not yet clear whether Judge Masipa will be allowed to remove herself from these proceedings, however indications suggest that she will have to continue regardless of her reservations.

Sentencing is scheduled for the 6th of July 2016, were he is expected to receive a minimum of 15 years in prison.
